Michael Zirpoli

I’m a fifth-year PhD candidate in Statistics and Data Science at Auburn University, working under the supervision of Dr. Jingyi Zheng. My research centers on geometry-aware learning for Symmetric Positive Definite (SPD) matrices using Riemannian manifold methods.

I earned my B.S. in Mathematics from Slippery Rock University.

Outside of research I like to stay active rock climbing and playing soccer.
